March 4, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider C I Host (cihost.com) announced on Thursday that it would offer the recently released Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 to its new dedicated server customers, while existing customers will be eligible for upgrades.
"We want to give our customers the best digital solutions available," says Christopher Faulkner, CEO of C I Host. "Red Hat provides that 'top of the line' service whether the customer is a small business or a global conglomerate."
According to Red Hat, the latest version of RHEL was designed with a focus on Linux kernel 2.6-based platform stability and maturity, productivity improvements, technology to meet security and compliance demands, and performance and stability for 32- and 64-bit workloads.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux v.4 is available on 64-bit Intel Xeon and Intel Itanium processor-based systems, AMD64, IBM POWERz-Series and S/390 and other x86 systems.
