ZXTM allows Document Systems to manage traffic to any combination of back end servers. The company has deployed ZXTM so that its customers can reliably process documents using its application software.
"We evaluated both commercial and open source traffic management solutions which would allow us to have a robust, scalable, fault tolerant load balancing system," says Nicholas Bernstein, Unix systems admin at Document Systems. "None of the other products were near competing with Zeus, the price, simplicity of its install and configuration - nothing came close."
ZXTM is able to read and manage requests to both Document Systems' Web site running on Windows 2000 and their application servers running on Linux. The solution will also be able to accommodate future additions to its infrastructure, the company said.
"By deploying ZXTM, Document Systems have been able to overcome existing limitations in their infrastructure and now have the flexibility to deploy any type of server or operating system on their network, ensuring they can continue to expand."
